I absolutely love an eyeliner flick, for someone who rarely wears eyeshadow it adds a bit of drama to my eyes that I feel I don't get from mascara alone. I love the vintage feel it creates and the fact that the execution can determine the era you are giving a nod to.
Last year I included Soap & Glory Supercat eyeliner in one of my monthly favourites, and for a while it worked a treat for me. And then it didn't. I think I changed either my foundation or primer and the combination didn't really work, it started to smudge after a few hours of wear.
The hunt was on for a new eyeliner that wouldn't smudge. I tried the much raved about Benefit They're Real liner, it amazed me that a product which could not be removed using normal make up remover could in fact flake off my eyelids!
A few months ago while Boots had one of their 3 for 2 offers on I picked up Seventeen Tattoo Me liner to have another stab at finding one that would actually stay put all day.
Tattoo Me claims to last 48 hours, honestly I was only looking for 12 - 14 hours. The applicator is a brush, something that made me nervous as I didn't have much luck when I used a brush applicator years ago. Thankfully after my first few applications I seemed to be finding it a doddle. The liquid itself is jet black and quite a thick consistency. It applies easily - but be careful none transfers onto your upper lids as you need to use a make up remover with an oily base to remove it, so it takes any other make up off too.
Once this is on it is on, no smudging at all and it lasts all day and if I am going out after work I don't need to touch it up at all. I have to really love a product to purchase it again and I am now on my third tube of this.
Has anyone else tried Tattoo Me liquid liner?
