June has gone by in a complete blur, a good one, but my god it was a quick month! I have only been in work a total of 10 days, or something crazy like that this month.
We managed to cram a lot in during June. Two of our closest friends got married at the start of the month, Richard was best man so there was much speech practicing in our home on the run up to the big day. It was so good getting to see our friends tying the knot and it made me even more excited for our big day next year. Anyone who follows me on instagram may have seen the picture of the bride's entrance, she rode to the venue on horseback!
Our friends from Germany came over for the wedding and stayed on a few days after, it was a great chance to catch up with them and get to do a little sight seeing in our own country. We went to see the Kelpies in Falkirk and in typical Scottish style the heavens opened and the tour had to get cut short. We got soaked! We also got the chance to go through to Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow, one of my favourite places.
We booked a very last minute holiday, a week in Turkey. We spent our time lying by the pool reading, enjoying maybe one too many cocktails and eating loads of food. It was perfect.
Our friend organised a music festival weekend Falkirk Rocks 19th-22nd June, we missed most of it as we were on holiday but got to catch some of it on the Sunday. There is nothing better than enjoying live music and a great cup of coffee.
I went down to London to attend the Cosmopolitan superblogger masterclass. It was great getting to hear from people who get to write their blog for a living! I also got to catch up with my cousin who moved down to London last year.
Last weekend we had a BBQ with the family, the sun was shining, there was red wine and I got to do fun big sister stuff (like putting my wee sister's hair in a fishtail plait) it's the little things that make me happiest.
I hope everyone had a good June and here's to an equally fun (if slightly less busy) July!
