The year has kicked off with mostly wedding planning, actually a lot of conversations me and the boy have are about this. I googled wedding fayres at the start of the year, thinking we would have a few months before they kicked off but the first one was the second weekend into January! So, our weekends have pretty much been taken up by wedding fayres and venue viewings.
We were meant to be going to a wedding fayre at Hampden on Saturday but decided to blow it off for a much needed lazy morning on the sofa. After deciding to get up off our asses around 1pm we jumped in the car and headed to Wallace Monument, perfect opportunity for some outfit photos. You can get a mini bus up or walk up in the fresh air, but since it was a nice day (which in Scotland means no rain) we opted for the latter. It was cold and blustery so the walk definitely blew our cobwebs away.
Today I opted for one of my favourite dresses, it is an oldie but a goody. Last month I mentioned that I was to be on a bit of a spending ban with a wedding to save for, so I have been digging in my wardrobe to find some clothes to love again. I teamed it with my ever trusty creepers and some super warm tights (they are about 300 denier but soooo toasty).
I didn't have my usual bag with me but opted for my pink metallic satchel instead. It is a bit smaller than my black one but if you try really hard you can stuff a lot in it.
It is only about a 10 minute walk up to the entrance of the monument and you get some amazing views of Stirling, including the castle.
